Seeing how physical modeling has improved to the stage it is today (Roland boutique wow!), I don't see a reason why a good tape simulation plugin shouldn't exist. I used to love the package that arrived with logic 10 years ago and I think I will also like it today so I already have a good start.Īn additional plugin that I'd love to have but not sure it exists is a musical tape/solid-state simulation. But I think one of each is totally enough for my current stage. Generally speaking, I need a good musical EQ and a very transparent one, all the dynamics, good reverb which can complement the ones that come with logic, delay, chorus and basically one of each thing that are needed for any electronic music production. Good luck!thanks, this is very helpful! (Of course, thanks go to everyone else who shared their knowledge in this thread ) Consider SoundToys by purchasing a single tool, as they then discount your bundle. Waves Gold can be had for $150 or less around BF. You will get a lot of suggestions, mostly based on what people own. There are just too many specialized tools to consider and no one knows your specific sonic goals. You can achieve similar by EQ sidechain & compression, but I use that technique so much Trackspacer is well worth the money. Also, I consider Trackspacer a valuable tool but not buying a bundle. But considering what I already have, I would never go for the FAb Filter bundle. For example FabFilter ProQ3 is an excellent all around fairly transparent EQ. There are so many great developers of specific tools that I hesitate to even suggest a bundle without knowing more details. But again, I don't know your sonic goals. Unless you want to spend a lot on a huge bundle, the best time to purchase a small.like 4 plug bundle would be Black Friday. One of my favorites, but this really depends on your sonic goals.
Best plugin bundles update#
TOH, the only reason I update is because it's cheap once they are going to release a new upgrade They are not very innovative like they used to be. They are marketing for a much more wide user base than 10 years ago, focusing on sample content, hardware integration, and I am guessing.a lot of outsourcing. Their entire business strategy has changed. But when I look at their bundles, it seems I only use 20% often, 10% on occasion, and 70% hardly ever.

I still love and use Renaissance Bundles, L2, etc.

They have cheapened most all their tools. Do consider a bundle, but save plenty of money for specific tools. 10 years ago yes, but today really be more careful about bundles. My suggestion would be to NOT place so much emphasis on bundles. Compared to 10 years ago, the plug-in competition is fierce! There are so many good tools out there, the law of diminishing returns often comes to play.Īs said, no one can suggest what you need.
